Obsession in vitality and helping people have more vitality in their businesses and their lives.
What makes her unique is that she’s lived through some of her own challenges in having businesses. She has the battle scars through mental health issues having experienced clinical depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In her experience working with small business owners and other leaders, their profit, their team, their customers and everyone their business “touches” suffer if they are suffering from high stress and battling on in silence. They do this because of the stigma attached to mental health challenges which sometimes occurs if they find that growing a business is harder than they thought it would be.
Creating a special environment for business and personal development and growth.
For the last 28 years she’s owned small businesses herself. These have included an electrical contracting business and a pet resort as well as 12 years of business coaching. Jo has been coaching and facilitating groups for 25 years.
Jo believes business owners and leaders can get back their life and embrace being a person first rather than only being a business owner or leader. They can achieve their goals faster and live a more fulfilled life along the way. They can truly have a life and business that has Purpose, is Energised, a Pleasure to own and is Profitable. They have PEPP’d Up their business and their life.
One of us.
Jo lives in Brisbane, Australia. She delights in being a Mum and derives her own PEPP® Pleasure from a wide variety of pursuits including connecting people, making photobooks and trying out new recipes hosting dinner parties. She enjoys travelling – especially back to the English village from whence she came.
Jo loves learning and attending conferences herself. To keep fit and healthy she kicks her footbike (like an adult scooter with bicycle wheels) and recently achieved a goal of kicking 100 km in one go which took 7 hours!
She takes great delight in dressing-up. She is a tragic fan of the pop group Abba and often goes to revival band shows in costume for a laugh. Her favourite song is “Dancing Queen” and friends have played this for her in some unusual places including as the train came to a stop in an Italian village! She enjoyed having a few secret singing lessons and surprising her friends by singing it herself at her 50th birthday.
Jo is widely known for her love of the colour fuchsia or hot pink: she wears it in some form almost every day and often uses the social media hashtags #NeverTooMuchPink and #WearPinkAndSmileAnyway. For her, pink means happiness, fun, joy – the things in life that give your heart a smile or buzz. Pink has become a visual metaphor for Jo’s purpose in life and business. In sharing her philosophy with others, she embraces pink: “pink” is whatever turns your heart on and makes you feel alive.
The reason why Jo has been so successful helping business owners over the years has been because she encouraged them to embrace who they were. She helped them go after their purpose and what they wanted from life and business.
